Fish fry

Serves 4 - 6 people

Ingredients

Pomfret or any firm, mild, white fish:  ¼ kg

Zeera: 1½ tsp

Garlic paste: 6 big kali (1 tbsp full)

Dhania-zeera: 2 tsp small

Red chili powder: 1¾ tsp

Haldi: ½ tsp

Fish masala: to taste (optional)

Lime juice: ½ lime

For gravy: Tomato: grated (no skin) 2 medium

Method

Marinate the fish with all ingredients. Fry fish after removing masala.  In the same oil, fry the tomato puree and marinade masala.  Then add fish pieces in.  Serve with potato chips (optional).

Serve with ghutto daal and white rice.
