Zeera wala Alu

Serves 4-6 people

Ingredients

Potatoes      2 lbs, cut in rounds or small squares

Garlic (Lasan)     1 tbsp, chopped fine

Cumin seeds (Zeera) whole       1 tsp

Red chili powder        1 ½ tsp

Coriander-cumin (Dhaniya-zeera)  2 tsp (preferably freshly roasted & powdered)

Salt, haldi, kothmir

Method

Fry lasan and zeera in oil.  Add potatoes and fry till nearly done.  Add salt and haldi, red chili powder and dhaniya zeera.  Garnish with kothmir and serve immediately.
